Micro-Dose Psilocybin Helped My POTS

I had adrenal exhaustion and dysregulation of the aldosterone/anti-diuretic hormone systems after living in a moldy house. A micro dose of psilocybin helped me.

I believe I was hyper-tonic. Too much water in the cells. Perhaps too much water in the brain itself (pineal gland).

What I had felt akin to a kind of niacin toxicity. I felt too dilated in time, too vaso-dilated.

Vascularly, it felt similar to migraine. Too wide, too open—the flashes of light, etc.

A micro dose of psilocybin helped me. 0.2 micros—not a psychoactive dose, no hallucination. I took it for migraine but it seemed to also help my whole vascular system. It strengthened my sense of balance and proprioception.

If my pineal gland is itself too watery, perhaps the whole system, in turn, will be too watery. But if the baseline state is too watery, somewhere along the line I have to “correct” for this, by over-utilizing salt, if I want to maintain life-critical pH7. The extra salt, then, exhausts my adrenals—and reinforces the original problem. If my pineal gland senses what it thinks is too much salt it will in turn retain too much water.

Picture two glasses of water. One is plain water, and it is pH7, and it is the right size. The other is salt water. Because it is too salty, to make it pH7, I have to add water. Now it is the right pH, but it is the wrong size. This feels like what was happening to me.

In other words, think of it from an engineering perspective. The blood in the pipes (//the water in a hose) has to move forward; we want the hose to work. In order for the hose to work, its degree of tightness has to meet the water pressure inside it. If the hose is too loose—then the water pressure inside it has to be too high, to make the water move forward. If the hose is too narrow—then the water pressure inside it has to be kept too low.

If I want to increase my blood pressure, I have to vasodilate, in tandem. If I want to decrease my blood pressure, I have to vasoconstrict, in tandem.

I do not understand the mechanics of it. But it felt as if the tiny dose of psilocybin enabled me both to lower the pressure inside the hose and to vasoconstrict at the same time. Like slowly dialing down a fountain. The height and the pressure increase or decrease together.
